Alpine Bluetooth unit
I have the Alpine IVA-W205 AV Head and the Alpine KCE-300BT Bluetooth unit installed with the iPod full speed cable.
iPod works great, and I had no problems until I wanted to use the hands-free cellphone feature.
1. The phone (AT&T 8525) recognizes the ALpine and asks to connect.
2. Answer yes, put in passcode 0000
3. Next phone displays, connection not accepted.
4. After that, the iPod is no longer active, and the display shows ERROR01
5. Shutting everything off resets
6. Trying to connect with phone, results in same scenario.
Alpine tech support was useless. Only advice was to send the unit in for check-up.
Please help !!!!

Edit/
Nevermind just looked at the owner manual and the code is 0000.
Have you tried setting it up from the head unit, instead of the phone like on page 5?

I have the Alpine IVA-W205 AV head and it doesn't have any of these functions as described in the Bluetooth manual. These instructions seem to apply to the regular head units.
All you can do is switch Bluetooth function on/off...
Any further ideas?

You call, wait, and I got a canned answer: "switch of your phone and try again. You can send in the unit to one of our service centers to be checked out..."
It really is not great service, not after you purchased >$1G of their products.
There is NO warranty for on-line purchases:
Step 2: In-Warranty Service
• Refer to Limited Warranty statement that came with your product for complete details.
• The limited warranty covers the original purchaser, and product must be purchased from an authorized Alpine dealer. Please be aware that the only on-line Alpine dealer is Crutchfield.
• Include your proof of purchase indicating that the product was purchased during the warranty period. Please keep your original receipt and send only a copy to us.
I live in Louisiana and my service center is in New York:
United Radio Services (URS)
5717 Enterprise Parkway E. Syracuse, NY 13057 Phone: 1-800-634-8606 or 1-315-446-8700 Fax: 1-315-446-8505 Hours: 8:30 A.M. thru 5:30 P.M., E.S.T., Mon.-Fri. 8:30 A.M. thru 12:00 P.M., Sat.
So I can as well buy another unit (from Crutchfield
)...because I can already see that I will be out of luck...Trending Topics
