Well, my 337 flathaed is leaking oil in two places. Actually one is engine oil and the other is tranny oil. The first leak is at the combination vacume / fuel pump. Is a rebuild kit for this available from NAPA? There is a triangular adapter that attaches between the engine block and the pump. Last time I had it apart, I made sure to put sealant on both sides of the adapter. Only thing I can think of is the pump itself is leaking.
The second leak is transmission oil. It is leaking where the spedo drive cable enters the tranny case. It is on the back end of the tranny and just forward of the emergency brake drum. Is there a seal that goes in the knurled retainer nut that holds the cable? Or, should I just clean it and apply liberal amounts of silicone sealant?
