My truck, 1990 4x4 F-150 with a 4.9 is starting hard, it used to start right up and now you have to crank it a few times and give it some gas. I just pulled the codes and have some question.
The first is 332, insufficient EGR flow detected.
528 Clutch Switch - Circuit failure
525 vehicle transmission in gear or air conditioner on
You should check out the 332 egr code first. You should check if there is any carbon clogging the erg valve or if it is not getting the proper vacuum. If you have a manual vacuum pump you can attach it to the vacumm port of the egr valve and apply vacuum to it and see if the egr valve is opening.
Were some of the codes taken with the engine off? Most of the codes looks like when you tested it they may have not been in the proper setting. Trans out of gear, A/C off.
The 525 means that the trans was either in gear on the a/c was on. Retest with the trans in neutral and the a/c off.
