Does anyone know the pipe size of the pipe in between the two CAT's?? ((Truck listed below))
I can't get to it to get a good measure with a tape measure. I think its 3 inch??
Flowmaster makes a muffler with a single 3 inch inlet (Center) and 2.5 inch dual outlets. I think I would go with duals if I could use one of these instead of the "Y" pipe setup.......
DANG!!!
There has to be someone who has taken off the second cat and knows the pipe size!!!!!!
I am sure we will know the answer to our question by this time tomorrow...
LMAO:7
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-Nov-02 AT 10:12 PM (EST)]Is a 3 inch into the muffler and 2.5 on out OK?
Or is it best to step it down to 2.5 after 1st CAT and on out with a SINGLE 2.5?
If A single is sufficient, It will save me some $$$$, and I like the sound of that!!!!!
I will search for your other post.
((ADDED))
I reread your other replies to the thread I started earlier.
I guess I was thinking of how to do duals WITHOUT the "Y" pipe.
I don't care for them.
thats odd, mine was 3" and im running a downpipe to 2.5". i asked about running 3" and everyone strongly was against it. i had him run a piece of 3" to the muffler and it did have a drop in power. maybe with headers it was more open. i dunno.
