Banks Power Pack

Hello I have this same question posted on the exhaust page. I am trying to find anyone that has the Banks Power Pack on thier V-10. A plus would be someone that uses thier truck to tow so I can find out if the power gains are as good as Banks says. thanks Brandon

I have the Powerpak on my motorhome. I did a lot of before and after testing, and I did see an increase in power and slight increase in mpg. If I had to do it again, I would forget the intake part of the system and save a few bucks. I switched back to the stock air filter and retested and i didnt lose a thing. All the gains are in the headers and exhaust in my opinion. An added bonus is you dont have to worry about when the exhaust studs are gonna break on your stock system ever again. If you can afford it-go for it. I dont have any regrets myself.

I have a cat back system on mine and I tow with it all the time. I can tell that its there in the high altitudes but very little on the flat lands but I also bought it for the increased performance in the mountains. I knew it would help from a previous truck.

Have had the system for a while now and I'm extremely happy. If I had it to do again I would forget the Ottomind chip. I installed the headers, the intake and the muffler first and noticed a fairly good gain in everything. Then I installed the chip and was very dissapointed. Maybe my expwectations were just too high. But all in all I have been very pleased. I also pull a 5k trailer every day.

I put the Banks Power Pack on our 99 F53 Motor Home this summer at 60,000 miles. The most significant change is in the heat dissapation. Before banks the fan clutch would engage after every hill climb (we live near the mountains), after the banks install the fan clutch very rarely engages. Too early to tell about other claims.

Anybody have any sound clips or videos of the banks power pack or just the cat-back system? I always wondered what they sound like. I guess similar to the Magnaflow.
