take into acount the car ways no more then 2000lbs and making 750+hp at the fly wheel @ 8500 rpm, 5500rpm launch... thing would be a rocket and a monye pit. Gotta love it

Heck just dropping in a 350tpi would be a thrill

I run 77ford 4wd with a 472 lots of goddies for good work horse when pulling the mountains of wyoming. Its snowing tonight. Also have a 429 and a 533 4.3" stroke bigblock. Run my truck on 40" hawgs. I want the motor out of a friend of mines 56 sedan delivery for my 77 f150 4X4. Its a 460. Correction: it was a 460. Now its a 534 and its a monstrosity. And i guess the tranny he put behind it too.. It don't matter if its empty or towing the tent trailer and the back absolutely filled to the brim with dead weight. once you hit a certain point in the rpm's, you better be paying attention because yer already flying down the road 70 mph.. and you didn't even know! I swear I saw the wheels spin once when he shifted from neutral to drive at idle...

 

Thats the chevy tranny with the granny gear and OD rite? I would love one of those

 

i'd like to stuff a 7.3 out of a 98 in my 66 f250. throw in a six speed and we'd be in business. oh and the brunette and the bottle are covered. though i'd go with a bottle of jim beam over the jack..

That would work You'd have to beef up the front springs to handle the weight though.

 

i actually picked up an 87 7.3 IDI that had a bad tranny for 50 bucks. i've started tearing the engine out. i'm putting a dana 60 in the front. as well as two extra leaf springs. so i should be good..
