What would you add/change?
Odds are really good that early next week I will buy a 2003 F2250 diesel (6.0L). I have checked the Carfax, Oasis report, and spoken to the previous owner. It looks like this is one of the good 6.0L.
I want to go ahead and get any accessories added by the dealer.
The truck already has running boards, bedliner, and I am having a fiberglass cap put on.
What would you recommend? (I am most interested in maybe increasing my mpg and increasing the life of the engine.)
Programmer? Which one? Price?
Any thoughts on the Edelbrock Diesel Power Package?
Exhaust?
Talk to me.

he can answer those questions and supply you with all the "goodies"
Most guys here including myself, go with gauges, exhaust and an SCT tuner.
Also...welcome to FTE..
I called Matt......and got his answering machine. I'll try him later.
I really don't want to spend a bunch of money. I would just like to maybe improve my mpg and increase the longevity of the engine. I don't really care about hauling a mountain or going from 0-60 in 5.6 seconds.
For longevity....bypass oil filter and coolant filter are two that you can't go wrong with. I currently use an Oilguard bypass oil filter and a dieselsite coolant filter. These are just my choice for brands. You can do a search and see what everyone else has to say about these two mods. Plenty of reading if you have the time.
