Bent Frame!!!!!!!!!
Hi folks, you will not believe what happen to my truck when Candian Tire did my ball joint, the truck sliped off the Jack and my Frame has a big dent pushing upward!!!!!!! They put on the invoice/reciept "cutomer to have damaged frame on right rear checked, cuased here by lift", I think this will be usfull if they need to put through their insurance. Question to the group? has anyone had this type of experience and what did you do, funny how they think I will pay for ford to check it, no way dudes, hope everyone else is having a better day?
OUCH! thats not good... I sure hope you can get a fair resolution from that... Very unfourtunate accident thats for sure. The maddening thing about stuff like this is insurance rarely gets you what the vehicle is worth (to you anyway) unless the vehicle is still brand spanking new. you may be able to substitute it for a similar make, model, year, options but it still wasn't YOUR truck and have no way of knowing how well it was maintained in its former life - or you take it in the shorts buying a new one... Deffinitly good luck on whatever the outcome is.
If its just a dent it might not be that bad depending on where its at. But if it tweaked the frame then it will be expensive to fix. Definetly dont let them push you around, have them pay for any bills.
I'd be looking to find out what Ford manuals say are permissible repairs to the rail, objective being perfect condition.
If the answer is "none", then think "chassis swap" in terms of billing their insurance company. If I could pocket a check for that, I'd gladly take a nice frame rail dent for the trouble! It isn't fraud, but your option to repair or not. Tweaked frames can often be pulled back into line on a frame machine for not much money.

Thanks for your concern folks her is picture of frame damage, I had ford look at it htis afternoon and said no damage structurely becasue it's the flange, cost for Canadian Tire $180 to pay. see picture
Found a way to add photo of damage, Ford says no danger to frame as it was small bend to flange , this was caused by lift at canadian tire (fell off their knucle on lift)$180 to bend back
