New guy here.
I'm a semi-(mostly) retired small business owner who now has time on his hands and a mostly empty high bay shop to work on the '78 Bronco Ranger XLT 400 C-6 that's been parked under a maple tree for the last five or six years. The body's a little bashed but there are no rust out spots, the top is devoid of any trace of gel-coat and the interior is threadbare and faded.
I intend to freshen the motor a bit; 4bbl, cam, long tube headers, electronic ignition and gut the interior to make room for a cage and a couple of suspension seats and finish it up with a coat of bedliner. After stopping up a couple of oozing leaks in the diffs I would like to install 4" longer springs in the front and spring hanger relocation brackets in the rear to make way for the 35" tires.
I have no need for a daily driver, just looking for a project that'll keep me entertained in the shop this winter and that I can take to the thousands of square miles of desert that surround southern Idaho (by trailer, if the project gets out of hand) next summer.
What say you, the experts?
