There is a split in the production date on the 04's at 9/29/03 where they went to the 04.5 motor with the ICP sensor on the passenger side valve cover. I'd try to go above that if I could. My 04 has 103K on it and for what it's been through it's been a doggone good vehicle.

Interesting... The information I have shows a 11/03/03 date for the first day of SD production with the updated '04 motor.
I bought my 2004 F250 new Dec.03. What a nightmare for the first 4 months.
Two ECMs and a wiring harness later, shes ran great!!! Just had to be patient.
Just a side note,the F250 fifth wheel towing limited to 10400lbs so be aware.

The truck looks very clean and the current owner is a friend and is now having some money issues and want to sell it. It has 72,000 miles now and he has not had to do anything since he bought the truck. He is the second owner and all of the items listed were done before he had the truck.
