CLicking when key in on

When I am trying to start my truck after the 'Wait to Start' light goes off, there is a clicking. I traced it back to the rear of the motor and there is a piece zipped tied on. Not sure if it is bad.

That is normal start proceedure of the GP controller..... once the WTS light goes out start the truck...it's waiting for you.

Be carefull - under the black plastic box is a connection which is DIRECT from the battery.

its your glow plug relay, how long is your light staying on? if it short and clicking you might have some burnt out glow plugs. it should stay on for 10 sec or so.

Mine did that when I first got it. I had two dead glow plugs. I don't know about the older controllers but on my 93, the clicking is not normal. It holds steady at around 9 volts. The two times it has started clicking since then, I've found a dead glow plug each time.
