I have a 93 F150 300-6. I want to replace my factory intake plentum and filter assembly. I drive a lot of dusty roads and I don't want to go the K&N route. Who make a setup with a replacable type filter? Has anybody out there made there own?
i dont know to much about plenum but isnt a plenum inside the intake manifold??? i thought it was chamber that allows more air flow than the dual chambers??? i suggest not making your own if what i am thinking is right and dont get rid on a plenum intake either cause they give you between 5-10 more hp which is what you want in any truck
oh ok now i see what your talking about, well i dont know where you live but in florida we got tons of place for the filters cause we mud a lot down here and lots of shops down here sell custom parts and made for dust and mud... i dont know your area but i will look up a web site for you
The plenum is the big aluminum upper intake manifold on the engine. What you are talking about are the intake tubes. You will have a hard time finding an air filter for these trucks that is not of the "K&N type".
