cluster lights not work?
on my 78 f250 the instrument cluster lights aren't working. The brake light comes on and the guages work fine. The other lights don't come on when you turn the head lights on. I have checked all my fuses and they are fine. The cluster lights were working and then all of sudden quit working and haven't found the cause. Any help would be great.

With a testlight probe check the Blue/Red stripe wiring for power.
Ash tray light/Radio light/light on left side of cluster and cluster lighting all work off this circuit.
Check the fuse for continuity not just a visual check ......as well.

I had this problem on my 79. The power wire for the lights in the gear indicator ended up getting rubbed through and would ground out once in a while knocking out the whole guage panel lighting. I pulled the plastic surround off the column and found it. Something to look at.
