I knew you ol pervs would look!! I took the top off today to evaluate the rust, I kinda got sidetracked and started washing up the truck. It don't look as bad as I thought it would without the top, however I do think it looks ghetto with the window frames up still, and I think a different rear window should be used so the door and the top will be at the same elevation, instead of the top, and the bed.
The last truck was the first one I ever owned. The only thing left of that truck is the rear axle, and its under my trash trailer. This was the fourth to last picture that truck survived to take. We cut the top off to see what it would look like without a top on it, and chopped it down to nothing, hauled it off to the dump in 3 trips.
Topless is good....back in 1960 we made a convertible out of a friends 1956 Ford Crown Vic 2 door hardtop, with hacksaws no less. Seemed like a good idea at the time........
Man please dont hack on a clean cab they are hard to find. If You want to hack on rusty crap so be it. But solid trucks of this vintage are hard to find. I mean no offense but, want to help preserve as much as I can for future Ford Buffs.
Fire extinguisher?? HA! THat fire extinguisher was the spray pump full of purple power, I was juicing up the grease on the engine and front suspension.
Fordjockey, I live in California. If I want a rust free cab, I can fart, throw a rock with my tounge, or flick a booger, and I can find one within 5 feet of where the smell stops, or the projectile lands. These trucks are everywhere,. and are dirt cheap. Finding one with rust is very unusual. If you send me $1000, I will find you 4 (or more) rust free, straight 2wd F150-F250 trucks, even with 460's. 460 trucks can be bought for less now, BBF=bad nowadays for mileage.
