That's a 18 circuit EZ-wire kit... ya, lots of wires I've already eliminated quite a few wires that won't be used and I suspect more will go as I get things simplified.

Started working on wiring up this pig...
That's a bummer on the cage, but that is why there are a lot of cages out there that are either very far away from the body or are not welded 360*. A lot of planning goes into trying to make sure all tubes are welded 360*. Many desert guys cut the roof off the truck to get to the top tube and then just weld the thing back on. Other guys cut holes in the floor so they can drop the cage structure straight down a couple inches and get to the top of the tubes. Either way takes some work and planning. I'm chicken about cutting off the roof so I plan on the latter option, but I need to be VERY careful about making sure everything is just fit and tacked before I try and drop the thing. I'd hate to not be able to drop it due to one tube I welded in blocking something.

Anyways - keep us posted on how the wiring goes. I have a universal kit I plan on throwing in the crew - I was just being lazy about it and thinking I might put it off until later as of now.

Update....

I've been getting a little done here and there, but nothing major. With the economy the way it is, we decided to concentrate some funds towards the housing market. Unfortunately this all comes at the expense of working on the truck!

And with any new house comes new projects.... paint, floors, dog kennel etc.

Bummer and good for you. Nice to see that someone is able to upgrade / better themselves in this economy. I at least would love to be in that position. To upgrade to a bigger, better home and have to put a project of this caliber on hold for a bit to accomplish that. Wish you the best in your search and keep up the awesome work whenever possible.

Not if I don't get you motor mounts you won't - hahahaha.

Oh - and be nice to those who have done the legwork for you or we'll quit feeding you answers so it'll take you just as long as us to finish

We finally found a home and are in contract.... lots of things to do now with house projects. Hopefully they go well so I can get back to the truck soon.

No problem - and right back at ya!
Now if only I could get back into a place of my own instead of renting that would give me a real reason to be distracted and not working on the truck...

Very Clean

Well I have'nt gotten through this entire project but everything that I have seen so far looks very clean! Gonna be a very nice rig when done, looking forward to seeing it. Keep up the progress

Planning on a swap myself, nothing as involved as what you have going on here, but good to know that there are guys like you out there!!
