1969 Ford Cummins Crew Cab Conversion
Hey Guys,
Thought that I would share my current project with you all. I'l post pics and bring the thread up to current as time permits... Her are some early photos from July 3, 2007. https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...166109.520.390 https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...166111.520.390 https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...166110.520.390 |
Found a lot more rust then what was disclosed by the previous owner! In fact he described the truck as being rust free...

Plan is to cut out all (or most) of the rusted section and weld in new metal.

Previous owner did a real hack job on this frame! I have already developed a plan to repair it....

After some carefull measurements, I decided to build a new cross member and relocate it rearward of the stock cross member. This will enable me to retain the stock Dodge/Cummins A/C compressor location. The motor will be set 2" offset to the passenger side. Pics....

I was thinking that it would be a good idea to make a jig for this swap? :) |
There is definite interest by lots of people for a Cummins B swap into a Bumpside. That truck is even cool without an engine.
|
Any data you can provide is great. We have many interested in the same swap over in the 48-60 section.
