when did they stop the Y Block

They stopped putting them in cars in 62 and trucks in 64 and I think they still made date stamped replacements up into 67 or 68. This is all relative to the US. They were still made and sold for or in Argentina I think into the 70's.

I'm not sure when production of Y blocks stopped either but can tell you about one I have first hand knowlege of. In 1979, my fathers best friend bought a houseboat from an insurance company in Houston, Texas, for salvage. The houseboat was two years old at the time and was built with a Ford 292 Y Block marine engine (all new in 1977).
