2008 150 wit chrome pak?

does anyone have a 2008 or any other year F-150 XLT with the chrome pack? what is the difference between a regular XLT? does it have different wheels?

reason i ask is my dad is deciding wheather (sp?)or not to buy one

is you have pics of your truck or someone elses truck post them so we can convince my father to look into getting one!

thanks

I doubt there is a difference mechanically, actually i cant almost guarantee that. Bascially the only thing they do is add more chrome, the wheels are the same except in chrome and the grill has a chrome surround, as for the inside i would assume more chrome trim but im not sure, they look pretty sharp though.

I got the chrome package with my '06 XLT. If I remember it consists of a chrome exhaist tip, 18" chrome wheels, a chrome grill surround, and chrome tubular running boards.

You can see an 06 Lariat chrome pack in my 06 gallery. However, I know that the 07 Lariat chrome package included a billet style grill so the components do change. The best way to see what the components are for 08 is to get a 2008 F150 brochure from a dealer, it will list the components of the XLT chrome package. Ulimately you still need to find one at a dealership to see what the components look like in real life.

For the 06 Lariat chrome package they are chrome wheels, chrome step bars, plastic chrome mirror backs and plastic chrome door and tailgate handles, and a chromed clamp on tail pipe tip.

BTW I did not even have a clue what a Lariat chrome package was when I got the truck. It was other features of the truck that convinced me to lease it and I found out later what the chrome package entailed.

The other thing to be prepared for is that sometime later in the model year the chrome package will likely be a freeby or at least deeply discounted.

I've got the chrome package on my 07 Lariat. But 1295 is a bit much for chrome clad wheels, chrome exhaust uip, chrome handle straps, chrome billet-style grille, chrome mirror skull caps and the 5" chrome tubular steps. And it's worse on the XLT, 1420 for most of the same stuff, different chrome grill, color coordinated steering wheel and no chrome door straps.

Spend your money on the select options your Dad's interested in. Not this package.

I live up in Canada and have A '07 XLT with the XTR package, this is the same as the XLT with the chrome package that is in the States. Well that's what it looks like on Ford's wed site anyway. Here is a pic of my "07.

With the XTR package i got the 18" chrome rims, Chrome step bars, chrome exhaust tip, chrome H-bar grill, and leather wrapped steering wheel.
