Well I definately have to say that these flowmaster knockoffs on my truck officially suck! I've asked people around town and everyone says that the reason my truck isnt loud is becuase its a 460 big block, This is getting really annoying, is this true? Would havin the exhaust redone from the manifolds back into glasspacks make the truck sound like I want? I quess what im going for is for my truck to sound like F-350baby's a little. If i cant get any better sound out of it then it does now, im goin to jus have it reran into a single with the qiuetest and largest muffler I can find and not worrry bout it!
Anyone who says its quiet because its a 460 is plain wrong. Those huge pistons WILL make noise. Glasspacks, especially the shortest you can find will be loud. Cant promise it will sound great, though.
If you likeF-350babys truck, set yours up like his.
The only thing worse than a Flowmaster is a Flowmaster knock -off....
cherry bombs are great. put them as close to the manifolds as you can and then run the pipes where you want, longer pipes = deeper/better sound. Also the shorter the gp the louder it will be.
YA there deff dead wrong about a 460 not being loud, these engines want to scream there just so god damn restricted from the factory you have to pick them apart to get them bark a little. I think your heading in the right direction with the glass pack deal, or if you really want to save some money, run a straight pipe, that will make her bark and its a cheap fix...How exactly is your system set up right now? True dual, or a single? You still have on all your cats?
Yes its a true dual f350baby, it has not cats I did make sure of that. I dont want straight pipes, as much as I like makin noise and messin with those Z_71 drivin punks around here, I dont want it that loud.
lol, I get very pationate when it comes to a 460, there such great motors, and i love putitng any myths to rest that these things cant be ear deffening. I still am running cats and manifolds and i have the loudest truck i have ever heard, wait until i gut the cats and get some super comp headers, the thing will blow houses over haha
