Dieseling
Every once and a while (once a week or so) my 300 6 will diesel on me. I have my timing set dead on but it does run a little rich. I have been told that 300's like to diesel. Is there something I'm missing here?

I had a '78 f100 that would diesel like yours . I found that flushing the cooling system and replaceing the termostat with a 195 deg. If you really beat on the engine I would really keep on top of the timming . If it seems to walk first make sure that the dizzy is not moving and second check/replace the timming gears...Heed my advice the camshaft gear exploded 50 miles from home on me . Not fun. anyway I hope this helps it did for me
