I never pulled my chip.......was getting on it hard once everything warmed up. Next day I was spinning my tires quite often.

No break in period. Got mine installed and Rocky (BTS dealer here in CO) told me to go out on the road and hammer it as hard as I could, then come back and check with him to make sure it shifted like I wanted. My trans was barely warmed up when I broke the tires loose.

Yeah, I'm told Brian does the same thing once he finishes the install......lock in 4x4, put it in the high setting and mash the throttle.

Like these other guys have said, no break in. Brian took me out as well and told me to get on it immediately.

Brian means it when he says "I dare you to break it".

LOL! It's true. Went for a run with Brian after the install and the girlfriend said " take it easy" and Brian just laughed and said hammer down. Best money I have ever spent on the rig.

trans

Austin, have the tuner with you, or installed so Brian can change the shift if needed..

He usually tunes to the Jody tunes so he may be/may bnot be familiar with the tunes..

Try all different aspects of the trans like slow speed/part throttle, then at mid pedal shifts and then WOT shifts..Make sure you like the shifts at all gears under different pedal positions before you get out of there, cause its a long way to go back if it needs tuning..

Good luck, I hope it works for you..

Actually, Brian usually tunes the tranny to Cale's (his son) tunes, but he can tune the tranny with anything you are running.

I will NEVER forget my test drive with Brian after the tranny install in my X. He just sat there laughing at me, while I was trying to be cautious. I got over being cautious real quick.

Course Brian laughs at me pretty much all the time.

Have a safe trip and enjoy that new tranny!!
