New guy here. Hope to be around and ask some questions that you guys and gals can help with. I may even be able to help someone somewhere along the line . I've been a Ford fan all my life, owning a few through the years. I guess I inherited the love of Fords through my Dad. When we were growing up he had a couple Mustangs, a 1969 F-100, a 1972 F-100, then an '84 Ranger that my brother and I tried unsuccessfully to kill . My Dad's still a fan today with a '97 F-150. I made the mistake of buying something other than a Ford(I'm not going to tell what though. Not a G.M. product). I'm looking to trade the junk that I have now(truck) for something with a blue oval, maybe step back a few years with an '80-'86 model stepside also. I have a burning desire for a stepside streetrod. Good to be here, and hopefully I'll be talkin' to you....Mike
Welcome to FTE Flat Black, I hope you find your Flareside(FORD term) and come up with a great looking and running ride. I am sure it will be better that any "stepside" out there. Most of us are auto nuts and like all types of makes. Not everyone here owns a FORD, some own other makes of autos at the same time, some of us like motorcycles. Some threads here have nothing to do with autos. So have fun with sharing anything - well almost anything - you want with us, and see you in the posts.
It has always been a FORD term, so I would not be confused with the other makers trucks. 60s (I think) till now. Stylesides took that term since their intro in the 60s also. I can not tell you the exact yr at this time. My brain is filled with other useless info at this time.
Someone will come along with the exact dates shorty. That I can guaranty.
