Mbrp Or Silverline?

Looking into doing a 4" turbo back exhaust. (stainless only).
My cousin and a friend of ours have a 4" MBRP with a cat delete pipe so he can put the converter back in the truck if necessary (for the dealer/ warranty etc).
I am hunting for a turbo back. The mbrp is just over $500, cost is important but if I can get something much better for a little more I will.
I am also going to buy the tripple gauge pod from http://www.dieselmanor.com/
im getting the pyrometer the 30lb boost gauge and the trans temp gauge.
The last thing I want is a tuner / chip. Whats the best bargian for the buck? I need something I can take off for warranty purposes if necessary. I tow quite a bit etc.
I herd there is a chip w/ 4 tunes. One has a fuel economy tune two is towing, three is plowing, and four is a street tune w/ 140 hp and 170something ft lbs of torque.
What do you guys think?

Any help is appreciated.
THANKS,
Bob

Bob,
Magnaflow offers a stainless steel system Turbo back, ALL 4" of course it includes a lifetime warranty. Part #17922
delivered for under $300! through Hottexhaust. Use coupon code "Fordtruck8" for discount. The system will include parts to retain the stock Cat. if you want to keep it, otherwise just use the enclosed 4" cat delete pipe.

I checked the part number you gave me (Product ID: 17922)
The site says 2005 - 2007, I was super excited when I saw that price though. Is there anything else you know of for the 04?
Thanks again

part #17922 doesn't include the tip. (I think I'll go with a chrome tip over stainless anyways).
I'm not sure about products for the '04's, as all I was looking for was to fit my '06 truck.
And to answer your question regarding sound, it sounds great! I came from a straight pipe set up to this and what it did was mellow out or smooth out what a straight pipe sounds like. The inside of the muffler is a straight through design using perforated stainless unilke MBRP's louvered design which bounces the flow around in the muffler, this gives the note a more aggressive sound.
No matter what design you choose, it will be much better than what you already have.
BTW there are more coupon codes out there for their discount based on how much you spend. For instance, using coupon codes "veedub", "superhonda" Fordtruck8" are all different discounted amounts to your total. Check the internet for other discount coupon codes they offer for your order if you choose to go with Magnaflow. If you call them directly, ask for John for a coupon code that would work for your purchace.

Just bought a MBRP turbo back system and, although they don't advertise it, it DOES come with a tip now. That was a pleasent surprise - saved me fifty bucks!

i bought mine from deisel performance:

http://www.dieselperformanceparts.com/products.cfm

They were nice enough to call me and tell me about the tip (i had ordered one seperately) I thought that was way cool of them. Most people would have just taken the order and sent me something I did not need.

I bought the aluminized and painted it black. I read in other forums that that approach works better than the cheaper stainless. Stay tuned to this thread, i will update over time with pics to see how bad the winter treats it.

Im getting the AFE SS exhaust for $389 plus free shipping (Horsepowerupgrades.com - then call super trucks quadratec and they will price match with free shipping.) Cheap for SS and ive heard nothing but good things about it. plus they specialize in diesel, unlike magnaflow.

Magnaflow

I got a Magnaflow exhaust put on mine, turbo back 4" stainless with 5" tip. My brother has the MBRP 4" exhaust, 5" tip. The Magnaflow exhaust seems noticeably louder at the higher RPM's than the MBRP. I like the Magnaflow but it is pretty loud when you tromp on it. Not much louder than stock when driving normal speeds/rpms on the highway. I was concerned that it was gonna be too loud for normal driving but it seems to be fine. I like the Magnaflow exhaust plenty, and it has a 4" downpipe rather than the 3.5" that comes with the Magnaflow.

That price on the Magnaflow system is crazy cheap, mine wasn't nearly so cheap when I got it. It would be an easy decision for me.
