does anyone know how to contact matt other than his email, that obviously isn't working. Ive been trying to get some towing tunes from him since last sat and have only received a response wed asking for my trucks code, which i promptly replied to. But ive sent him to emails since then but still have had no luck and i need to have these tunes by tomorrow (sunday). so if anyone knows how i can get ahold of him or if someone can mention to him to check his email for a black_cloud_fever i would greatly appreciate it.
oh and i also contacted the sales department just to see if i could get a bite there.
I left a note for Matt.. He's been up to his neck in wrench work, Evan's been covering the slack on the tunes.. I've been tied up in an event and I'm heading out now for it.. Give Matt a call in few hours, he should be up and somewhat awake..

If you can't get him after few tries, call my cell 512-818-3070 and I'll get him awake..
No problem bud.. We have just been so busy.. Matt's had engines in the shop all week, Evan's been cranking out tunes left and right.. I've been putting together our sponsorship for this Truck Event today.. Which I'm still waiting on my truck to get finished on its detail lol.. I'm sitting at my office surfing :-P
But hang in there.. Shoot me your FSM code, I might have a tow tune for it, is this going on the 01 or the 04? If its the 04 should be FSM5.. Let me know..
Interesting post because it reflects the exact problem I have had getting a response. I also got the request for codes but no other response. I am leaving Monday a.m. for a 1200 mile pull with my 17k fiver and hoped to get the new tune. I have the heavy tow tune and also wanted to know if I should just forget the other and go with what I have?
Matt is very busy and I'm sure he will get back to ya. I am also patiently waiting for files but from what I hear on this site they are worth the wait. It is good to hear that he is busy because it is in the best interest of all of us with his tunes that his business is successful. I will wait eagerly for my tunes.
Hey Storm, or anyone else can you tell me which downloads we need off the SCT site to load the new files? I went to the site and I am confused as to which ones to download.
Everything you need in terms of downloading programs should be on the CD you got with the SCT. But if not the program you need to get files from your PC to the XCal is LiveLoad3. Here's the link to the download page:
What disc? I never got a disc. I must say I am a little disappointed in the Xcal3 as it didn't come with any instructions or the USB cord. I loaded one of the canned tunes yesterday to make sure it worked and it took longer to load than the Flashpaq. The package that it came in simply states to visit the web site for instructions. Talk about cutting corners. I am in now way blaming Matt or Spartan for the Xcal3's shortcomings and I hope Matt's tunes are worth it.
I apologize.... My link did not work properly. I also didn't realize you had an X3. Regardless I think the LiveLoad software will work for you since the X3 and X2 are very similar devices. Go to the Support tab on the sctflash.com site, then go to "Downloads and Drivers". Once there select the XCal2 and then download the Liveload3 software. Try that, I hope it works for you (I'm guessing right now but I think it will work )
All I can add is that good things come to those who wait - I am about as impatiant as anyone but I kind of assumed there would be some delay dealing with Matt - When I researched tuners I found that this guy is slammed with recommendations - this is the guy I want to deal with delay or no delay he got the $H@T that works period.
I also ordered an X3 and did not receive an installation disk. I installed the live load three and when it tells me to plug the device in it says that it does not detect an X2 device and won't go any further. Any suggestions?
Matt coached me thru it last month. I had the same problem at first but he had me load the livewire update from the SCT site and everything loaded OK at that point.
i've noticed the guys with x3's have not received disks, and had problems with the website too..
glad i got the x2
as far as matt, guys please please please be patient with him. he gets well over 200 emails a day and he doesnt have anyone to help him. i spoke with him the other day and he is up to his armpits in wrench work. i'm actually going to drive out there in 2 weeks and help him wrench on 2-3 trucks and help him get some stuff done so he can catch up on his tunes for you guys.
the guy has impeccable customer service, but he's busier than a one legged man in an **** kicking contest right now. patience is a virtue, and trust me, it's worth the wait..
oh and kudos to efoster too guys, evan is a master of SCT tuning. i actually run evans tunes more than matt's in my truck.
Patience guys, I got back from Michigan in August and just got my new tunes last week. Matt told me he scrapped the Ultra Economy tunes because they just weren't working out for the general population out there and he had to start over from scratch. I can assure you he does not forget about those who he hasn't got to yet. Even though I had to wait, I'm still glad I went with Spartan for my XCal2 and tunes.
