Every time I enter this forum, there are no current topics. Everything is old and in some sort of rediculous alphabetical order. Where are all of the new posts. And why can you not seem to search within a forum for a specific topic or problem? I almost want my Cobra back just because www.corral.net was set up so much better. I was really hoping this website would be helpful but it is incredibly hard to navigate through unlike all of the mustang websites.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-12-03 AT 07:24 PM (EST)]Could be that the settings on your computer are not set up right? I have no problem getting the current topics at the top of the page. When I delete "cookies" then I loose the settings and all of the posts get set up differently. Try emailing the webmaster for advice on how to set up your browser to take advantage of the current postings and to explain to him why you don't like the site.
Sorry you think the site is poor. It may be the computer and how the internet browser is configured.
By the way, a posting like this is a good way to get yourself admonished by the webmaster or his representatives.
Then, when you really do want advice or need help, you may no longer have the ability, should they revoke your posting abilities.
I had the same problem for a while...and it REALLY pissed me off because this and ford-diesel.com were the only websites that wouldn't update. If your using I.E., then go to internet options and click on the settings tab for Temporary Internet Files and make sure it's set to check for newer versions of web pages automatically.
You are right I should not have posted like that and especially not in this forum. It is just really frustrating when you are desperate to fix something, you know the info is there but it is difficult to find due to how the site is set up. On my computer here at work the site is set up correctly with the most recent posts/replies at the top, so I will go home tonight and try to correct the settings.
I still really miss the ability to do a keyword search within each forum though.
And to the administrators...I apologize for the fit of rage.
Towards the top of the page under logout, faq, post, etc. are the headings discussion topic, author, last updated/author, replies, and rating. Click on one of these to sort it that way. So click on last updated/author to sort it by date.
This is where I learned of the egr restrictor plate "fix", and I will be forever grateful. Keep up the good work. And remember, the biggest problem with most computers is between the back of the chair and the keyboard.
I have been using computers for maybe 25 years, and in general 95+% of the time, it is usually ASUE(Another Stupid User Error), I know, I do them all the time.
I am still getting used to the way the new website works but in general I have no problem getting to the correct webpage and finding current topics.
BUT, if you are accessing the web page by doing history and clicking on ... https://www.ford-trucks.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi Tha WILL take you to an old web page and you won't find anything you are looking for. You need to bookmark the new Forum webpage, it is different.
And I think this page is great, I have found so many answers to life's questions, at least truck wise. And I have saved tons of money by knowing what to do next.
