I didn't want to bring anyone down and complaining never does any good, but I heard from the transport Tuesday that he didn't have room for my truck and I'd have to line up a different ride. The good news is the broker was able to find one right away and I got confirmation that it was loaded today so I should have it Saturday or Sunday.
The first guy picked up a Toyota pickup that turned out to be a crew cab, then got a Dodge Power Wagon with a bad fuel pump, I think he might have had room if he could have arranged them right but with the dead Dodge he was afraid if he winched it off he'd never get it back on. I asked him how that was my problem. He admitted that he messed up and was sorry, but that didn't make me feel much better. Plus he was already two days late when he figured this out! He ended up losing money since he was one short of a full load (in more ways then one I think).
Oh well, the longer the wait the sweeter the reward.
Bummer on having to wait but maybe it was the Ol Ford Truck Gods stepping in and taking care of you, maybe the first truck was going to fall victim to a horrible and mulit cara poil up somewhere in the midwest that would have twisted your dream truck into an unrecognizeable pile of yard art...........
