small heater hose
what is the purpose of the tee in the pressure side heater hose with the smaller 1/2in. hose to the bottom of the rad.
some kind of air bleeder
i see them also in the 92s with the idi engine

Never seen a flow chart but I imagine it's an Air bleed, or, because It's on the outlet side of the heater core, it may bleed off the excess coolant when the thermostat is closed and keeps the water moving through the block. IIRC, the nipple on the radiator that it's hooked to has a very small opening.
