www.theithacajournal.com I did a search for "driver's license" and came up with the article. (The paper is also known as "the Ithaca Urinal") suposedly this plan was in effect prior to 9/11 Spitzer is just returning to it. Not that I agree with it at all.

The logic that a driver's license will make "safer driver's" is also way out of wack. I thought that a license was supposed to be a privelige (sp) not a right. The Seneca County Supervisors voted to oppose the plan. Good for them. According to Federation of American Immigration Reform estimates New York " pays out about $4.5 billion more on behalf of illegals than it collects in tax revenues they generate" No wonder the state is financially insecure. If they are illegal, why are they here and getting benefits?

i believe he's for full californication. i've watched his answers about this and made it seem like those of us that oppose this(ie:believe in the law) are uneducated rednecks, as he breaks the law according to a section of DMV regs. i think its section 502.

I dont know if i heard right but now spitzer is going to cut highway funding if his drivers license plan doesnt go forward... like what is this jerk going to do make us ride on unsafe roads as punishment cause we dont want a bizillion illegals cruising around here?? someone PLEASE shoot this idiot before he breeds!!

actually Spitzer has proposed "Higher" Thruway tolls. the rational was that gas prices were high and traffic had been reduced because of the higher fuel prices.
well that makes sense. jack prices to drive on NYS thruways because traffic is down due to gas prices as you drive up prices every where.
Go Spitzer..... you won't make 1 term let alone be re-elected.
