85 carb problem

Hi, am new to this forum, this place looks great! I just bought an 85 f-150, 4sp OD. I found that the carb had been changed to an older one. I bought a rebuilt one from a local parts store, and this helped greatly. Starts good, misses a little at idle. The problem I have is when in 1st or 2nd gear, the engine seems to slow down or fall flat when in between accelerating and coasting. I just did a complete tune up, plugs, o2 sensor, pcv, etc. The new carb helped drivability alot, but what do I do know? Sensor, EGR?????
