Like I said in your other thread, this is a classic symptom of a bad computer.
I agree, the TFI Module "control moduel" will not keep the fuel pump running unless the engine is cranking.
You need to replace the EEC Computer if you do not have a short to ground in the wiring under the two relays or the Fuel Pump Relays contacts are not welded together.
well us there any possible way to tell if it is my computer cuz it just happened all at once so im thinkin i've got a loose wire somewhere and im to damn fat to crawl up in the engine bay and look but luckily i have one of my skinny *** lil buddies standing right beside me right now so maybe ill finger it out lol
okiedokie thankee man i think my problem is the eec relay i've read about every page in my chilton and haynes book damn i feel so stupid i can take a motor out hook every thing back up and i cant figure this simple problem out lord have mercy i dont know what ima do

Nope, if the EEC Power Relay were bad the Fuel Pumps would not come on. This relay EEC Power Relay only makes power available to the EEC Computer, Fuel Injectors, Fuel Pump Relay Coil and various solenoids.
well i tell ya IM honestly about to go buy a chevy (not really im just mad hehe) cuz i still aint got my truck fixed and im outta options my papaw told me that my computer wasn't bad and the only other thing i know of would be the dang fuel pump and my truck im driving while the other one is down i just had a tire blow and mess my almost new wheels up dang if it weren't for bad luck id have no luck at all
Did you ever check for fuel pressure at the rail while checking everything else out. Do you think you have bad pumps in the tank.
My 88 had new TPS, new regulator, new pumps (3), new filter, new reservoir new everything to get it running. It was just to two low pressure pumps to begin with. I did enjoy the learning experience.
