ho2s21 sensor code

ho2s21 sensor code
my truck, 1998 ford ranger 3.0 new moter new plugs new wires.
throws a code of misfire monitor fault along with ho2s21 sensor indicates lean
and ho2s21 sensor indicates rich I unplugged the map sensor and it quits the lean and rich codes but still misfires to the point of undriveable at intermitting times. some days never other days once other days the whole time i drive to work 14 miles.
I getting ready to clean the map sensor and was told by ford dealer use carb cleaner and be very carefull of the thin wire and never take it out when hot. any advice would be apreciated

You will want to use the tech forums since this one is used for introductions. Click on the Forums tab at the upper left and scroll over the boards. Lots of people have successfully cleaned their MAP and if you use a oil air filter (K&N, etc) you will need to clean it every now and then.
