Is there an option for a rear camera on the f-350 or f-450? I seen one on e-bay an 08 F450 with the camera in the tailgate handle but it is not an option on the ford build it site, Anyone shed any light on this?
It is an option on the 08 Job 2 trucks that are now being built (wasn't an option on the first run trucks). The camera is in the tailgate handle, and the display is in the rearview mirror.
That will be a sure-fire hit once the parts become available for modding our older units. I've been wanting to do a stealth rear-view camera, and this sounds like just the way to go about it.

Yea what that guy said, but more of it. I ordered my F250 two weeks before the news about the rear camera was posted on this site. My truck is Job 2. But no camera. :-(
It fits, stroken, but it ain't cheap. If I remember correctly, a new '08 tailgate is something like $1,000-$1,100 bucks. There was a guy in here in the last several weeks who was complaining about how flimsy and badly designed the tailgate step up ladder is, and that his company was going to be removing them (and I believe the entire tailgate, too). If you search, you may be able to find the thread and contact him for a deal on an '08 tailgate.

Goat , ther's no rhym or reason in Job 2, some trucks have the camera, it's not on the window sticker, some do have it and it's on the sticker...Ive argued with my wormy dealer, and they don't know what to say. My mirror has the 5 wires but no camera, I wonder if the camera can be plugges into the wire harness that's back there...I notced a YELLOW plug on the harness for the camera trucks.
theres a co. called "Visor View" that sells the camera and all the parts but the display is hidden in the visor, with a larger display than in the rear view mirror
