is the flex plate still broken?? you best bet would be to get the codes scaned. you could also disconnect the batteries to delete the code to see if it comes back
Yes it is still broken, I would just like not to have to pull tranny twice. If the flexplate could cause this I would take the chance. The tranny guy here said (over the phone that the flex plate was a sign the tranny was bad. I have never heard that...
I would have the codes scanned first. Once you have them post them and we can go from there. Also in 20 years of working as a mechanic and 7 years of it being nothing but transmissions I have never heard of a broken flexplate being a sign the tranny was bad. I would suggest going to your local mechanic and paying whatever they ask to scan the computer and give the list of codes.
JUst to let everyone know the flex plate was broken right at the crank in a circle which caused it to spin occasionally and caused the tranny to flag a slip code. also it made a noise like something was in the block. Hope this helps someone out there...Your forum has helped me immensely so far..THANKS
Does anyone know the size and thread of the screw that holds the soliniod on the starter. just noticed it was m.i.a. when I installed the transmission after the flex plate swap.....
