I paid a whole $100 for my '78 F250. The original 351M chucked a rod and the owner just wanted to get it out of his yard. I thought it would be a good candidate for a resto.

1978 4wd F250 camper Special Lariat Ranger edition. Strait, no rust a 400m that starts every time. $1000. A drawback, for me anyway---I hate the 4 spd manual trans and low gearing.

58 & 59 project f100s-have about $300 in both

I bought my 31257 actual mile 79 F100 302 with a 3 speed manual tranny in 1991 for 325.00 on a bank repo. As the fourth owner and no rust.
First owners were in thier 80's when they passed away in 87, truck sold to 2nd owner with 5000 act miles, he did the body work from a t-bone on pass side bed and repainted, sold to 3rd owner still with 5000 miles in 88 who was plagued by misc problems but drove till 91 and abandoned at a strip pit frustrated with numerous problems.
When I got the truck the battery was grounded to the fender with no ground to the block, dead battery, broken solenoid, corroded non working fuel sending unit, bad cat. converter, and 3 flat tires.
I fixed the problems and drove it til 93 when I parked it in our garage with 48000 miles.
I have a detailed title history from the BMV to validate it's past.
The truck now has a 4.6 liter 32V Lincoln Mark 8 engine and tranny and approx 7-9" drop on the front and it is still coming together.
