Pro comp

Im thinking of ordering a set of Pro Comp Xterrans in 35 12.5 18. Has anyone run them and do you think that they will rub with a leveling kit. I am running a set of stock expedition wheels.

I'm thinking of ordering the same tires, except in a 305/65/17 (33x12.5x17) to use on my FX4 wheels.

I was wanting to order the 35's also, but after reading a bit and getting some feedback on my other thread, I'm kinda leaning towards 33's.

I want to jump in and order a set though while its free shipping and buy 3-get-1-free deal.

In your gallery, it says you were 35's with 17" wheels. Did you have any issues with that setup? If you didnt, I would think you would be ok with 35's and 18" wheels.

Sucks they don't make them in 33's for 18" wheels.

I have 305 65 R17 (ProComp Xterrain) with a leveling kit on mine. I like the way it sits. I think that 35's would be too big, there would be too much tire in your wheel well and there would be a lot of rubbing. The tires im running are about the same size as 33x12.50. There are pics in my gallery.

What kind of rims do you got there? How do those tires ride?

I just had my 35 12.50 18 Pro Comp Xterrans put on my factory fx4 wheels last week, I will try to get pics soon, I think they look great, now the truck looks like a 4x4, there is rubbing at full lock, nothing major

In my gallery its my old truck and no i had no problems with the 35"s i think they looked great. I just found Nitto 275-70-18 and I might go with them they are 33.2-11-18. That way i have no trouble with my new truck with the stock rims.

Good looking truck. The size you are running is the size I'm probably going with w/ those tires. The tires actually fill out the wheel well nicely, w/o looking TOO big. Seems you would have plenty of room to make the truck fully functional.

I'd be curios is knowing your wheel size and BS.

Did they fit on your truck? I have some 325x60x18 Mickey Thompson ATZ's in my garage that I bought and they were to wide. The tire was hitting the a arm with it just steered straight.

EDIt: I got stock 18" FX4 Rims.

yes, they fit just fine.... of course, i do have the 2.5" autospring kit on it. the wheels i am running have zero offset, and 5" backspace. maybe thats why i have no problems with them. i am upgrading to 35's though, the lift is here, but i dont want to install it until i sell the ones i have now and buy 35's.

i had 305/70/16's on my last 01 i had and the next tires i put on my 07 will be x-terrains. i had 50k on them and the were wearing very good. off road traction was amazing and wet weather driving was awesome. i never hydroplaned again EVER even if i was driving on rutted highway with standing water in the ruts.

the tires were great and i can't wait to put a set on my new truck

The rims are also ProComps. The truck rides like a truck with orersized tires. It does not shake. It rides fine by me. I like it.

When these tires wear out I will probably buy another set, or maby some MudGrapplers.

The tires are 305 65 R17 and the back spacing is 4.74.

I am able to turn lock to lock while articulating without any rubbing.
