found a monster
Driving home every day I've pasted by a f250 sitting at the edge of the woods in a weed pile. The body looked good from the road.A buddy of mines 351 finely blew and the body wasn't worth saving . So I told him about the truck.We went and ask about the truck. The man said it was left to him by his brother he never even drove it because it's a stick.He sold it for $450.With just some fresh gas,some air in the tires, and a new battery it drove home.
Now you know the story heres the questions.It's a f250 under the hood was a big block with two four barrels sitting on opposite corners of the motor. Two shifters a low high and a standard five speed . Its got dual pipes that split at the muffles into four.The air filters looked very factory and have 460 written on top. Has any one seen this setup before? is it factory? By the way it said powerforce on the finder and it was made in 85.

In th light of Jeff's shop we fond the manifold to be aluminum that has been painted for what ever reason . And the mufflers and tail pipes to be trush but up to that point the two pipe come together into one ,threw two converters and split again only the factory would do something like that. Still don't know anything about this carb setup besides it's leaking pretty bad.The second shifter goes all the way to the rear end.All the belts look bad and most of the hoses are hard as rocks.but I guest don't look a gifted horse in the mouth. Hope to go by with camera one day this week before weekend.

Decode the vin. Would this tell us anything?
Maybe a part # on the intake manifold for NumberDummy?

Ford dealer ran the numbers.It was a single carb from factory.A closer look at the manifold revels its an Edelbrock.Maybe we will know more where Jeff pulls the leaky carb.For now where hunting down belts,tires,hoses,and wheel bearings.Trying to talk him into some headers and to cut off those dang cats.Hopefully by the end of the next week we'll be able to let her eat.I'll get some picks.
