I have an '03 CC Long Bed SRW 4x4, and would like to know, without a dyno run, what type of power I am making. A close number will be just fine with me. The mods I have done are: 6637, 5" Straight Pipe, DP Tuner w/ 60 Tow 80 Econo and 120 Race, HPX, WW, CCV, Overboost Annihilator, Pyro Boost and Tranny Gauge, BTS VB, and if I turned the horns around they might help push me along as well. I think those are the only mods I have, if i think of anything else I will add them. I am really just looking for some input from the people with similar mods, or whomever might know. Also I would like to know of any other mods I could do for $500 or less to make more power. Thanks
I will patiently wait for the results. Mr. Bob I noticed that you are running the high flow turbo outlet. Does that give you more power or is it more of a support mod for upcoming mods.
i read an article on tuners in an old diesel power mag, in an 03 excursion, auto tranny afe stage I, stock exhaust running 23 lbs of boost with 60 tow tune made 291.9 hp at the wheels, so based on that alone, i think your rear wheel numbers
are a tad higher, but knowing all dynos are different and calculations are based on altitude, tire size, ring and pinion ratio, and who set up the dyno, numbers can differ from dyno to dyno, but im thinking in 120 your closer to 325 hp. as the stock dyno numbers are around 219 at the wheel with 250 at the crank. atleast thats what i read.
I disagree with both of you. My numbers are corrected and I have made multiple dragstrip runs in the 80 and 120. Not enough diff to write home about. No more power was made in the 120 over the 80 on the strip. This is an oil or injector shortfall in my engine and whatnot. So in summary, I can make the same kind of power/time in the 1/8th mile with the 80e and 120r. Tells me it may need another mod.
every place is different, in tucson AZ it was about 100 bucks per 3 runs, here in Anchorage AK its about 600 bucks an hour, and there is only one dyno in the whole FFFfNNNNN state.
i cant wait to get back to reality.
Thanks for the good input. I am happy with the ranges of number everyone has posted. I hope to dyno it down the road, but might wait til the new turbo is in, and I get some fuel system upgrades.
