correction???????

Call me ignorant if you want but isn't step 5,6,and 7 in this info backwards??
It says to top the fluid off in step 5 and 6 and then reconnect the return line in step 7??

No, the procedure is correct as written.

You can't pump out all of the fluid in one step, so you pump out what you can, refill, and do it again until you have gone through 19 quarts.

Man I am really confused but it says to hook the clear hose to the return line and run engine until I see air then refill with the same amount that came out...........wont it come right back out the clear tube when I refill?

Yes but

It won't be the same fluid you poured in.
Keep the process going until you see nice red fluid being pumped out of the tube.

If you follow the procedure as written it will work. None of your worries will be a problem. Many of us have proven that it works.
