Turbo rebuild?
I'm new to diesels and turbos. I have a 90 f250 I've been playing with and I picked up an ATS 088 turbo kit for a few hundred $$. My problem is the impeller spins well but it has enough play to have scratched the housing in a few places. I called ATS but they don't rebuild them any more and don't have any bearings or rebuild kits. I would like to try rebuilding it myself but can't find anywhere that has the parts for it. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You can try to find a shop near you. They aren't something that anybody can do because of the tooling involved. Taking them apart and putting bushings in isn't bad but if the rotor is hitting the housing then you may need a rotor. I know of a shop in Lousiville KY. that used to do turbos but I don't know if they still do.
