I've been thinking about getting a new cd player for the truck.

I'm not sure on the quality of power acoustik cd/dvd players, but i have 2 12 inch power acoustik subs and I love them.

I definatley might have to try one of these out.

As far as looks it is very nice, you might want to see if any previous owners have left any feed back on the unite in any of the audio forums.

Can anybody confirm that it was the best of show by consumer electronics?

I tried to google it, but didn't see anything, execpt what people wrote on ebay.

I'd say if they are giving it awards it's gotta be pretty decent cd player.

ok my friend bought the JVC type of deck like that. as soon as he seen my indash DVD clarion deck with a 7inch touch screen monitor he realized he shoulda gotten a better deck. don't even bother getting a dvd deck if you want to watch movies. if you want to on that small of a screen, buy an ipod haha get a real indash dvd player for ur truck. trust me its worth the extra money! i seen at wallmart, and my other friend actually bought this one, a DUAL 7in flip out dvd screen for $500. its worth the buy if you dont drive of rough roads, the screen shakes alot when out! my clarion flip out is tight and dosn't even shake of rough roads, just like pioneer, eclipse, and higher up Clarion decks. Like i said just spend your money and go get a better one with a bigger screen if your buying a DVD deck

Well, i'm not so worried about the screen on the dvd player being small, as I won't be driving down the road staring at it anyway. I'd just like a dvd player with video outputs to go to the other screen in my truck. A small one for me to glance at once in a while would be just fine.

well if you go get a higher up/better brand of a deck, you will notice better picture quality and more options with the decks, and more RCA outputs. Its up to you, now if it was me i'd just go get the good stuff not cheap out

well ill tell you what i think when it gets here if it is lousy ill put it in my work truck or mudd truck, but a dvd player now days is going to have good quality no matter what cause the stuff from last year is already obsolete and cheaper cause there is something new out, i really wont it for the back up camera function, i dont listen to my radio enough to pay 1000+ for a good flip out or doulble din, if i do spend alot i wont a pioneer avic double din or eclipse double din dvd navigation but it will be later down the road

well it sounds like a good deck, and u did make a good point about the work truck or mud bog truck thing. I too would rather have a double din dvd player but having a 95 F150 i was kinda stuck with the flip out with out seriouse mods to my dash! heres another option you can do if u want just a back up camera mode, you can buy a rear viewmirrow with like a 4inch screen on it that hooks up to a camera and u look in ur rear view mirror and u can see with the camera. its around $150 i belive. what do u really want this deck used for though, like what are u putting this is and what do you do with this truck?
