Hi all
On my '86 F-150 4x4 with AOD and NP 208, I when to put-er in 4low when The lever "just slid back with no resistance". Oh crap! did I just lose the case????
Looked under neith, the shift bar fell off the T-case shift arm. This bar is held on with some sort of pressed on plastic clip.
Where can I get replacements? What is this "clip" called? Any part #?
Scary feelin' aint it?
I saw dollar signs fly away.
I do need to re-build/swap out this 208. There has always been a "wind noise" since I got the truck 5 years ago.
I taped off everything on the front end trying to find it.
Found it, its the T-case.
Jacked up all 4 tires, Put it in D and.... there it is the "wind noise"
Put the T case it N and it goes away (with the AOD in D)
Must be a bering.
