thats a sweet looking truck. my '83 is a 2wd, therefore i'm looking for a street/strip look. a little lower profile.

thanks! in my opinion smaller tires wouldn't look right...unless your truck is lower then mine straight from the factory...

There some big wide tires,I just got 5 295-50 r 15s given to me on chrome wheels and was toying with the idea myself because the tires are like new.

I think the rear will fit fine just stick out a bit but I think the front will be to wide and cause handling problems especially in the rain.

One site I checked out that sold the same tires I got states that you can use 8 to to 10" wide wheels so maybe with 8" wide and the right back spacing you can use them on the front.
The rims that came with my tires have the wrong back spacing and my truck would look like a big remote controled car if I put them on.

glenn, i don't plan on using the 295's on the front, that'd be asking for hydroplaneing!! probably 275 or 255/60's. there's a yellow '83 f150 flatdeck in the galleries with the exact stance and tire size i want.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but the picture below is a 4x2 '83 with 16x8 wheels and 265/75R16 Rugged Trail tires.
