I just bought a 1999 F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab..mainly for towing. It has the 5.4 and is loaded. It is a pretty, spotless, bright red, 1 owner truck, but uses gas badly... I'll do a tune up on it and go from there. I joined this site because it seems to be varied with very helpful members as it is on several Mopar old car sites I also belong to. I'm 58 and have been rescuing cars from the junk yard all my life as a hobby. I own my own urethane molding company in Conroe, Texas and have quite a collection of cars and trucks to complete and/or start on......1956 Ford 1/2 ton, 1957 Desoto Firedome 2 dr hdtp, 1967 Charger, 1994 Mustang, 1995 Cougar XR-7, and the 1999 F-250 Super Duty. 60/70 hours a week leaves little time for them, but maybe I'll slow down someday.
Thanks the adminstrators for their efforts and I look forward to partisipating in the forum.

Thanks and don't worry about being a newbie to the hobby. At one time or another, we were all newbies. Get yourself osme manuals, research what others have learned from similar swaps, ask lots of questions and you'll be fine. Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome. I've rescued more cars than I can remember...in the early days, it usually started out as a need to get to work! Once I'd get it running and driveable, little by little this would get fixed, then that would get fixed. Before long, it would be sharp then some family or financial problem would force a quick sale...good for the car, bad for me. Now, when I can, I do it just for fun.
