Tranny Question

What trannies would bolt up to a 390. i have a '65 4 door that has a 390 that needs a tranny. i heard that one from a 351 would bolt up but need some more info, im from the diesel forum so i new to the classic trucks. thanks for any help.

One from a 352 will bolt up I think only the FE trannys will bolt up. Eric

I don't know about where you live but around here FE's are very easy to come by in junk yards. A C-6 for an FE should'nt be too hard to find.
