Good Mechanic Needed

I am in need of a good diesel mechanic to look at my 01' Ex in the central Ohio area, preferably around Columbus, Dayton or Cincinnati. I live within an hour of each of those areas.
I have noticed performance issues with my Ex in the last 5 - 6 k miles or so. I have had it at the local ford dealer to look at the problem other than a glow plug needing changed and reflashing the cpu, they could not find anything major. They did test the boost and said it generated about 15 lbs. I change fluids and filters on a regularly and run 100% synthetic through out. My fuel milage has dropped by 5-6 mpg and the truck just doesn't seem to have the hp and torque like to should.
I have 140k miles on the truck and have no entention of getting rid of it any time soon.
What I want is to make the engine as reliable and bulletproof as possible. The 7.3 is a great engine and I know it will give me great service, I just want to set it up for the long haul.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreated.

We need a little more info.....

Are you having hard starts?

When you step on does the truck want to take off? Or will it slowly, but lazily go?

Does it idle rough?

Try to describe exactly what the truck is doing in detail.

Yes and No on the hard starts. Not really hard to start, but does seem like it needs to turn over a few more times than it use to. But it does need glow plugs. I have not noticed whether it idles rougher than before.

As far exceleration performance that is where I notice the poor performance the most. Yes, step on the throttle and even though there is no hestitation, there is no noticeable kick in the a$$ acceleration. I have been in heavy traffic on the interstate, put my foot in it to get out of the way, and it has fallen right on its face. I even had a instance when I was cruising at 70 mph, the seemed to lose all power, it didn't quit running, just lost power. It recovered and has not done that since, that was earlier this summer.

What engine mods would you suggest that I do? I want to do a ccv mod and replace all boots. Any thing else I can or should be doing? Like I said in my previous post I want this engine to perform and be reliable for the long haul. I'm not worried about large amounts of hp.

I have ordered a set of gauges and hope to have them in soon.

Thanks

When was the last time you changed the fuel filters?
