Well guys, Let me tell you a little about myself.
By the way thanks for the acceptance
I guess You could say I`m one of the old timers as I started
my hot rod activities in the early 50s with a 40 ford coupe deluxe
but I wont bore you with that. In the early nineties my son and I
put together the `56 f-100 you see in my gallery. Well last year
he told me he wanted to sell it and after much thinking on it, I
decided to buy it. (ever bought anything back that you originally
paid for?) Anyway it is one of the best things I`ve done because
I am now in my second childhood and loving every minute of it.
I know you guys have all the bases covered but if I can be of any
help on anything, by all means don`t hesitate. By the way my gallery
shows some updates I`ve made since the original build. I`ve got to
get disc brakes on the front soon.
Welcome aboard Gary! You will find a us a fun, little bit crazy group who are always helping eachother out. Congrats on your truck. I had to buy a truck from my brother that my parents bought new in 1970 and GAVE to him in 1998. Once I get it restored, I bet he will want me to give it back to him....
We are planning to meet at the Good Guys car show in Pleasanton next month. Hope you can make it.
Yes, welcome.... Help is always nice. It looks like our chapter is growing at a pretty good rate. This next year should be filled with a lot of fun gatherings. Hope to see you at some of those. Good Guys - Pleasanton is around the corner from me. I hope to make that one as well this year. '56 F100's will always have a special place in my heart. I cruised in a yellow one during my youth. ;-)
Welcome Gary! Guys, I got to see that 56 up close at the Vintage Ford Show last month. It is way cool with a very nice tilt front end. Gary hid all the electrics and even installed some brass sheeting at the rub points where the tilt rubs the body! If anybody needs pointers on installing a tilt frontend, call Gary for sure. The color is almost identical to the Chili Pepper Red we picked out for Teddy. Gary is a nice guy with much to offer the forum. Jag
John, Thanks for the nice words. And it was nice meeting you at Sac Vin Ford.
Thats a beautiful Vicky you have put together. By the way. I didn`t win the
engine, but did win one of the Bridgestone/Firestone Prize`s. If you need some
tires let me know.
I`ve been watching this chapter forum for the last couple weeks and it sound
like a lot of great guys. I`m sure I`ll be involved.
Thanks all for the welcome.
just a quick question? When and exactly were is the Good Guys car show? Also, If I can make, it do ya think they will except an old leaky 68 park out in the front??
By the way, Nice 56!!!! My friend has one thats almost complete. That truck is what interested me in fords in the first place!
