evr solenoid
1992 f150 4x4 e40d........I hope I am in the right forum
how do you tell if the evr solenoid(egr electronic control)is bad....when I shut my truck off I can hear the vacuum escaping out the bottom(vent?)I think it is supposed to hold the vacuum, but I could wrong(BIG possibility) can someone please help me?

yeah the tranny is slipping, not really slipping....it just dont have no forward gear/e40d '92 f150
I notice in the wiring that the evp has the same wire going to the pressure regulator(in the tranny), and shift solenoid, air bypass/diverter solenoid so I think the problem is there somewhere

Your transmission problem is not, in any way, related to the EVR solenoid. Your tranny is busted.
It is normal for the EVR to vent after the engine has turned off.
You've only found a distributed power line that goes to at least a dozen under-hood devices to supply operating power.
