I seen this on you tube and it sounds pretty good. The DPF is cut out as well, you can see it is not there at about 30 sec in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wO8dg_u1nAk&NR=1 Wish somebody here that has his 6.4 straight piped would prove his claims like this!
still doesnt sounds that good, it still being a 6cyl and all... but i like for some reason they had to tow a brand new Ram pick up! LMAO
I agree. Doesn't sound nearly as good as a powerstroke with an exhaust. Doesn't sound like a big rig either. It sounds like farm machinery. Nothing beats the "jet plane" sound of a powerstroke with a turbo back exhaust. Duramaxes sound better than the cummins too.
@bigblock, the ram he was towing looked to be super pulling rig. Saw a video of it. From the amount of smoke coming out if the stack, I'd be surprised if it even got 2 gallons to the mile...
The problem with the 6.7s and straight pipes is I guess the PCM detects something is wrong, and defuels the engine hugely, to get any power back, you have stack chips and the like, which is what looks like that guy did.

I thought it sounded pretty good until it got to 3000 rpm, then it started to get all blatty sounding as usual.
I think it would be an easy workaround to make a chamber for that pressure sensor with a pressure limiter so it won't think it needs a regen cycle. Get the pressure needed to drive that sensor from the exhaust manifold somewhere. Or maybe just get it from the intake side so the pressure isn't as high as the drive pressure.
