Question SeaFoam?

I have an '85 F-150 302 4WD 5-speed. A buddy of mine told me about using this stuff called Seafoam to kind of help clean out my engine. Does anybody know or have heard of this. I don't want to use something that will hurt it. Oh by thee way the 302 has a fresh rebuild and it's only a couple of years old but it really hasn't been used that much either.

I used SeaFoam once. It does a good job of cleaning, but it also killed an ailing motor.

Just think all that sludge broken loose grinding up the inside of your motor. Add some to the gas as well suck it into the intake as muffler shops like replacing cats.

Run some synthetic or diesel oil the extra detergents in it will clean more gently then those products that basically rip it out!! Just clean your oil when you should for your conditions, And do it on a regular schedule. Have you pulled a valve cover to check if the motor even needs a cleaning?

Almost as clean as a fresh rebuild at 276K miles inside over here.
