Seafoam comes in a can and you can find it at your local auto parts store. It supposedly helps clean out carbon deposits in your engine. I've never used it, so I couldn't give you specifics on use.

I've used it quite a few times on a couple of trucks. with my 91 i used to put it in the gas tank before emissions just as a cya, and every no and then i put it in through the brake booster vac hose it sucks it into the system and cleans out the carbon build up. i noticed a smoother idle and quicker throttle response.

I've used it multiple times on carburetor and EFI fed engines, all times with good results. Follow the directions and you'll be good to go

It's a chemical formula that ACTUALLY works. You can pour it into your gas tank, your oil, or your vacuum tree on the plenum. It literally cleans out all the bad carbon deposits. You pour it in, let it sit for around 10-20 minutes, start your vehicle up, and it cycles through. A work of caution though, it will smoke...the older the engine the more smoke they say, so do it at night or very early in the morning!
But it really does work man, and worth the $10 that it is.

I used it on my 1994 f150 300 i6 and it did wonders for my throttle response, i put it in the vac line off the Master brake cyl, my gas tank and in my oil, and after a few miles i noticed the difference right away

Did it to mine... It smoked A LOT. Looked lyk a fog had settled around the house, but it did run a lil smoother after.

so get a can of seafoam and gently pour some into the brake vac line?
at idle?
1/2 can?
1/4 can?
Suck some in and shut it off to soak in for a while?

Any probs breaking loose carbon chunks and jamming or plugging things?

92 f150, 160k miles, nice and clean, no real problems except
it will miss at idle or holding easy speed thru a school zone SOMEtimes.

No difference hot or cold, damp or dry.

Sometimes it idles PERfectly.

Seafoam sounds like something to do for sure.

its 1/3rd a pint is what is calls for, but i used a little more figuring that was a generic amount for all size engines. when you guys put it in the gas tank does it smoke throught the whole tank of gas? or only when you put it in the vac line. i ran it through the vac line and just 1 puff then clean. is that just a clean engine? haha

I put it in the gas tank and it seemed to help with my throttle response and the stumbling feeling I got in the school zones. 20-30 MPH and I would feel a hesitation and that is mostly gone.

I have yet to use it straight in the vacuum line or in the crankcase but I am curious. How much do you use in the crankcase and do you change your oil after you run it?

I did not notice smoke when I ran it through the gas tank.

I think it's like a 1/3 of a can for all places.
